Licenses

What types of licenses are available?

There are two type of licenses available – Trial Licenses and Unrestricted Licenses. Trial Licenses are freely available and allow you to activate and use all available features of a product. However, a Trial License limits the amount of time you can use a product. Unrestricted Licenses must be purchased. Once an Unrestricted License is purchased and used to activate a product, as the name implies, all available features of a product may be used without restriction.

Why haven’t I received my License yet?

If you don’t receive your license key email after purchasing, please check your spam/junk/bulk mail folders. If you still can’t find it, please contact us at support@casstor.com.

 

Trial Licenses

What features are restricted in a Trial License?

A Trial License doesn’t restrict you from using any features in the product. However, a Trial License does limit the amount of time you can use a product in a given session.

How do I convert a Trial License to an Unrestricted License?

A product currently using a Trial License can be easily converted to an Unrestricted License. From the application top menu, select Help->Product Activation. Enter the Unrestricted license in the License Key field and then press the Activate button. A dialog window will pop up with a Unrestricted License Activated message.

 

System Requirements

Is LogFilter Supported on Linux or MAC OS’s?

LogFilter is only supported on Windows Operating Systems. However, LogFilter can edit text files with different line endings such as those found on Linux and MAC systems.

What versions of Windows are Supported?

Our products are supported on the following versions of Windows:

  • Windows XP
  • Windows 2000
  • Windows 2003
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8

How can I upgrade a product?

All of our products support free lifetime product upgrades.

 

Product Uninstall

How do I uninstall a product?

To uninstall any of Casstor Software Solutions products, you can use the Programs and Features Control Panel applet provided by Windows:

Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel and then clicking Programs and Features.
Select the Casstor Software Solutions program that you would like to uninstall, and then click Uninstall. If you’re prompted for an administrator password, type the password to proceed with the uninstall.
